Senior Accountant, Cost Accounting & Operations

The Senior Accountant, Cost Accounting & Operations role is onsite five days a week in Mountain View, CA. The stated base salary range is $140,000–$160,000 per year. Matternet develops autonomous drone networks to move critical goods faster, cleaner, and at lower cost. The role strengthens general accounting and monthly close while supporting growing operations with inventory accounting, product costing, reconciliations, and financial controls. It partners with manufacturing, supply chain, and Finance to maintain accurate records and appropriate controls; accounts payable and vendor administration are secondary responsibilities.

What you'll do

• Own inventory accounting for raw materials, work in process, and finished goods
• reconcile inventory subledgers to the general ledger
• review production orders and inventory movements
• analyze manufacturing variances and product costing
• support inventory counts and valuation
• prepare close entries and reconciliations
• strengthen processes and controls
• support tax compliance, audits, accounts payable, and vendor administration.

Why this role

Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of accounting experience, including manufacturing and cost accounting, are required. SAP experience preferred.
