Job overview

The Accountant role is onsite in Mill Spring, NC, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Compensation is $54,000–$67,500 per year, based on experience. CooperRiis is a therapeutic healing community located in Asheville and Mill Spring. The accountant supports the organization’s financial operations through transaction processing, reconciliations, reporting, and audit and budget preparation. The work helps program leaders and the CFO maintain accurate financial information and support organizational planning.

What you'll do

• Prepare and distribute invoices
• prepare and post journal entries
• communicate with resident families about financial matters
• receive and enter payments
• assist with accounts payable, sales tax reports, and refund claims
• assist with account reconciliations
• prepare departmental income statements and accounts receivable trend reports
• assist with the annual audit, Form 990, quarterly board reports, budget preparation, and payroll review and processing.
