Nonprofit Accountant

Job overview

The Nonprofit Accountant role is remote across the U.S. Compensation is $80,000–$90,000 per year full-time equivalent; part-time may be considered based on candidate availability and client needs. NonProfit Fiscal Management provides outsourced financial management to mission-driven nonprofits nationwide. The accountant manages day-to-day financial operations for a portfolio of nonprofit clients, supporting accurate, timely financial reporting and helping clients with budgeting, grant reporting, transactional review, and audit preparation.

What you'll do

• Manage monthly and quarterly close processes, reconciliations, and journal entries
• prepare financial statements and funder-specific reports
• track restricted funding and grant allocations
• review transactional data
• manage annual audit, 990, and 1099 preparation
• assist with annual budgeting
• improve systems and procedures
• communicate with clients about accounting requests.
