Resident Assistant — Per Diem

The Resident Assistant role is onsite in Holyoke, MA, with compensation of $20 per hour. The role supports older residents who need 24-hour oversight and reports to the Community Wellness nurse. The assistant provides individualized support with activities of daily living while fostering residents’ independence and freedom of choice, and communicates observations and changes in residents’ needs to nursing and care-planning staff.

What you'll do

• Support residents according to individualized care plans
• assist with dressing, grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, transfers, and ambulation as needed
• document care and incidents
• observe and report changes in condition or behavior to the nurse
• conduct room checks and rounds
• monitor environmental safety
• assist with meals, appointments, and activities
• maintain resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
• orient and mentor newly hired resident assistants.
