Rural Health Assistant Director

The Rural Health Assistant Director role is onsite in Jersey City, NJ, with travel throughout New Jersey, including significant travel in South Jersey. Compensation is $90,000–$100,000 per year. The role manages SciTech Scity’s Rural Health Transformation initiative and supports the Senior Director of the SciTech Scity Innovation Hub. The Assistant Director translates program strategy into coordinated execution across rural health projects, supervises program staff, and works with health systems, community organizations, technology companies, government agencies, and clinical partners. The role advances implementation, evaluation, and potential scaling of initiatives intended to improve rural healthcare access and outcomes.

What you'll do

• Lead day-to-day execution of the Rural Health Transformation portfolio
• develop workplans, milestones, and measurable outcomes
• supervise two Rural Health Program Managers and one Senior Coordinator
• coordinate with NJ DHS and external partners
• oversee implementation planning, vendor management, project reporting, budgets, and grant commitments
• monitor outcomes and translate lessons into implementation guidance.
