What you'll do

• Review consumer loan applications and required documentation
• approve, deny, or counteroffer loans
• evaluate credit reports and calculate debt-to-income ratios
• recommend loan terms, interest-rate structures, collateral, and payment plans
• process loans and handle post-closing functions
• underwrite in-house mortgage files as needed
• communicate with staff and managers
• follow security procedures.
