The Janitor position is onsite at the NOAA building on Ford Island in Honolulu, HI, with a stated rate of $17.08 per hour plus a $5.09-per-hour health-and-welfare amount, for a possible total of $22.17 per hour. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m., supporting the NOAA project. The role keeps the worksite clean, orderly, and sanitary by cleaning floors, carpets, restrooms, and high-touch surfaces, removing refuse, dusting, and replenishing supplies. It also includes minor maintenance tasks and requires meeting the project’s security and screening requirements.

What you'll do

• Sweep, mop, scrub, polish, and clean floors and carpets
• remove trash
• dust equipment, furniture, and fixtures
• polish metal fixtures
• provide supplies and minor maintenance
• clean restrooms and showers
• clean raised tiled floors
• sanitize and disinfect high-touch surfaces.

Why this role
