Pharmacy Data Analyst

The Pharmacy Data Analyst role is onsite in Wheeling, WV, with a stated schedule of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., 40 hours. Compensation is not specified. The role supports Pharmacy Services at The Health Plan of West Virginia. The analyst integrates and evaluates pharmacy data to produce actionable information, improve data quality, and support continuous quality improvement. The work also supports pharmacy benefit management and coding across Commercial, Exchange, Medicaid, and Medicare lines of business.

What you'll do

• Integrate data from multiple sources
• support pharmacy team projects
• analyze data accuracy and collection processes
• identify data quality issues and coordinate resolutions
• improve data processes and tools
• prepare data for management and committee presentations
• develop reports to meet internal and customer requirements
• reconcile daily eligibility reports with the PBM and align reporting with HEDIS measures
• calculate client drug price guarantees, fees, and rebates
• review PBM files and support reporting and data mapping
• maintain the pharmacy executive management funds dashboard
• assist with audits of plan benefit coding and materials.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree related to data analytics or at least one year of pharmacy or medical claims reporting experience. Excel proficiency and data collection, analysis, and visualization experience are required; SQL, Power BI, and CPhT are desired.
