The Senior Staff Geological/Mining Engineer assists in planning and performing geotechnical investigations for mining projects. This is an onsite role based in Longmont, CO, with compensation ranging from $75,000 to $90,000 per year. This role exists to solve problems related to the earth and environment through geotechnical and mining engineering. The engineer performs field work, prepares reports, and assists in ground support calculations to support the firm's growing mining team.
What you'll do
- Assist in planning/performing geotechnical investigations, document/report results, log soil/rock borings, perform in-situ testing, install monitoring wells, collect laboratory samples, perform lidar scanning, prepare field reports, assist in field work at mine sites, perform geotechnical instrumentation monitoring, perform construction observation, assist in preparing reports/plans/specifications, create plans using GIS/AutoCAD.
