Job overview

The Cashier role is onsite in Heidelberg, MS. Compensation is $9–$10 per hour. Heidelberg Ace Hardware cashiers provide a welcoming first point of contact for store customers. The role exists to process customer purchases and support a clean, organized checkout area. Cashiers also assist with returns and exchanges, respond courteously to customer concerns or refer them to a supervisor, help stock when needed, and sweep and mop as needed.

What you'll do

• Greet customers
• scan items and ensure items are accounted for
• process cash, card, and check payments
• count change and provide receipts
• handle returns and exchanges according to store policies and with manager approval
• keep the register area clean and organized
• resolve or refer customer complaints
• help stock when needed
