Direct Support Professional (DSP) Caregiver

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) Caregiver role is onsite in Normal, IL, and pays $18.35 per hour, with a $0.50-per-hour increase after medication authorization training is completed. The role supports Lifelong Access’s mission to connect people with developmental disabilities to their communities through meaningful supports. Working in the Supported Living program, the DSP follows each person’s plan and provides assistance with daily living, personal care, household tasks, transportation, and skill building. The role helps individuals increase independence and life fulfillment while supporting their safety, dignity, and participation in the community.

What you'll do

• Follow each individual’s Person Center Plan and Implementation Strategy
• assist with daily living activities, personal care, household tasks, transportation, and skill building
• support individuals with dignity and attention to their needs
• adapt to changing activities and support requirements
• complete required CPR and First Aid certification if not already held.
