DC Power Technician

Job overview

The DC Power Technician role is onsite in Providence, RI, with frequent travel to customer sites throughout the Northeast. Compensation is $30–$45 per hour, based on experience. The technician supports D2B Groups’ Critical Infrastructure team and systems serving telecommunications networks, data centers, and utility infrastructure. The technician installs, maintains, tests, troubleshoots, and commissions DC power systems to support reliable operation of mission-critical facilities. The role contributes to safe, timely project completion through accurate installation, verification, documentation, and coordination with project managers, customers, and field teams.

What you'll do

• Install, upgrade, and commission DC power systems
• install and terminate cabling to engineering drawings and specifications
• install and maintain batteries
• install and configure rectifiers, inverters, and power distribution equipment
• interpret schematics, one-line diagrams, and construction drawings
• test, troubleshoot, and verify systems before commissioning
• follow safety standards
• document work and material usage
• coordinate with project managers, customers, and field teams
• travel to customer sites throughout the Northeast as required.
