Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift role is onsite in Freeport, IL. Pay is $30 per hour, with a Monday–Friday schedule starting at 6:00 a.m. and ending when work is done. The customer is a manufacturer producing quality products and seeking to keep production equipment functioning properly. The technician supports product flow by maintaining and repairing production, packaging, material-handling, and mechanical equipment. The role also troubleshoots electrical and pneumatic controls, completes work orders, and assists with ongoing projects.

What you'll do

• Ensure product flow through the plant and keep equipment functioning properly. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production, packaging, material-handling, and mechanical equipment
• troubleshoot and repair electrical and pneumatic controls
• fabricate older machines to updated versions
• complete work orders promptly and assist with projects.
