Interfacility Transport EMT This Interfacility Transport EMT position is with HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital in Mount Pleasant, SC. This role operates on the EMS Transport Services’ Team, assisting the Paramedic in rendering safe and effective treatment and transport of patients. The EMT responds to call-center requests, coordinates with other healthcare providers, and facilitates transport appropriately.

What you'll do

• Operate emergency medical vehicle and responds to calls for aid in emergent situations.
• Evaluate patient condition to establish the right course of treatment.
• Provide a variety of emergency medical treatment to injured, sick, or incapacitated persons.
• Perform invasive procedures under adverse conditions.
• Manage non-medical situations such as crowd control and protecting the valuables of a patient if necessary.
• Lift and transport patients, ensuring patients remain stable during transport.
• Communicate patient data and condition to professional medical personnel at emergency treatment facility.

What we're looking for

Education

Associates Degree in Emergency Medical Services/Paramedic or a Certificate of program completion in Emergency Medical Services (EMT/Paramedic)

Experience

Associates Degree in Emergency Medical Services/Paramedic or a Certificate of program completion in Emergency Medical Services (EMT/Paramedic) is required.
