What you'll do

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient treatments and procedures
• evaluate patients preoperatively for physical status and anesthetic risks
• administer medically directed anesthetics for surgical, obstetric, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures
• respond to critical care needs involving invasive monitoring, IV access, and airway management
• conduct pre- and post-anesthesia evaluations, explain plans, obtain informed consent, and follow up on postoperative complications
• educate and mentor student nurse anesthetists, residents, and allied health professionals
• report case-based quality and safety issues and develop and evaluate improvement measures.
