The Substitute Electrician Instructor role is onsite in Harker Heights, TX, with pay of $35–$45 per hour. This part-time, on-call position fills in during staff absences across morning, afternoon, and evening classes. The Training Center of Central Texas provides skilled-trades and healthcare career training. The instructor maintains continuity in student learning by delivering lessons and hands-on lab experiences, evaluating student understanding, and supporting attendance, progress, and completion. The role follows the school’s training syllabus and helps students build construction electrician skills.

What you'll do

• Substitute for absent instructors
• deliver lectures and hands-on labs
• evaluate student performance and understanding
• follow the training syllabus
• track attendance and post grades
• support student milestones and address attendance, performance, or disciplinary issues
• represent the school professionally to students, peers, administrators, and industry partners.

Why this role
