Interfacility Transport Paramedic This Interfacility Transport Paramedic position is with HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital in Mount Pleasant, SC. This role operates on the Interfacility Transport Team (IFT), serving as the primary care provider during interfacility transport ambulance calls. The Paramedic responds to EMS call-center requests, prioritizes patient care, coordinates with other healthcare providers, and facilitates transport appropriately.

What you'll do

• Responds to Trident Hospital EMS Transport Services Call-Center requests for the transport of patients from all Trident Health facilities.
• Provides care in the out of hospital setting, serving as the primary care provider during interfacility transports.
• Assesses, plans, implements intervention, and evaluates the appropriate level of patient care according to South Carolina scope of practice, HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital EMS Protocols, and HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital emergency department policies and procedures.
• Performs diverse duties within the Emergency Department involving an extensive knowledge of protocols, medical techniques, equipment, and the use of a wide range of procedures.
• Performs EMS hand off reports at facility destinations and reports appropriately to nursing staff and ED physicians.
• Ensures readiness of ambulance and all associated equipment for service.
• Actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, quality of care or the services delivered.

What we're looking for

Education

Associates Degree in Emergency Medical Services/Paramedic or a Certificate of program completion in EMT/Paramedic

Experience

Associates Degree in Emergency Medical Services/Paramedic or a Certificate of program completion in EMT/Paramedic is required.
