This role supports the UPMC Labs team. This role serves as the go-to leader on the overnight shift, supporting critical areas including Blood Bank, Automated Testing Lab (ATL), and Stat Microbiology. It involves guiding team members and helping drive high-quality patient care.

What you'll do

• Act as supervisor when needed.
• Communicate issues to management.
• Participate in administrative call rotation.
• Document staff competency.
• Perform Medical Technologist duties.
• Maintain and troubleshoot instruments.
• Review and report QC logs.
• Compile QA data.
• Help with staff scheduling.
• Manage inventory levels.
• Train and support staff.
