The Lactation Consultant (Part-Time) role is onsite in Arlington, VA. Pay is $42.62–$69.04 per hour. What you'll do

• Assess needs and plan, implement, and evaluate breastfeeding education for lactating patients and nursing staff
• educate patients planning to breastfeed
• monitor infants at risk for delayed breastfeeding
• assist high-risk parent-infant pairs
• contribute to staff education and departmental policy and procedure development and evaluation
• document breastfeeding assessments and progress
• participate in departmental committees and medical staff rounds as applicable.

Why this role

Requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification. One year of women and infant clinical experience is preferred; Virginia or compact-state Registered Nurse licensure is preferred.
