Cybersecurity Specialist

The Cybersecurity Specialist role is hybrid, with an expected in-office presence twice per week in Tucson, AZ. Compensation is not specified. The role exists to maintain security governance, audit compliance, monitor threats, and help protect company systems and data. It also supports employee awareness through training and works with IT leaders and external cybersecurity providers on threat response, system safeguards, and continuity planning.

What you'll do

• Maintain and update the System Security Plan and related policies
• support CMMC and NIST 800-171 compliance
• audit departments and users
• coordinate annual attestations and supplier compliance follow-up
• monitor cybersecurity requirements and threats
• oversee user access security policy
• provide cybersecurity, CUI, risk-awareness, and IT policy training
• monitor endpoints and remediate threats
• maintain incident response, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans
• ensure patches and updates are implemented
• work with external cybersecurity providers and IT managers.
