Senior Accountant

Job overview

Compensation is $111,590–$154,335 per year. The Senior Accountant role is onsite in Jessup, MD; ClearEdge supports critical Department of Defense technical missions through operational, strategic, and business support. The accountant supports financial operations across a federal contracting company’s multiple entities, maintaining accuracy and compliance with GAAP, FAR, and DCAA requirements. The role handles intercompany accounting, cost allocations, reporting, billing, and financial planning to preserve financial integrity across business units.

What you'll do

• Complete and review full-charge bookkeeping and accounting across entities
• reconcile intercompany transactions and consolidate financials
• prepare journal entries, accruals, and month-end adjustments
• prepare and analyze financial statements
• develop indirect cost rates and support FAR and CAS compliance
• process accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and billing
• review contract-compliant invoices
• support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
• collaborate on job costing and labor allocation.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance or equivalent work experience, at least eight years of related experience, and working knowledge of Unanet, Paycom, GAAP, CAS, FAR, and multi-entity accounting. CPA certification or progress toward certification is a plus.
