Job overview
The Fire, Intrusion & Access Control Service Technician role is an onsite position based in Norwalk, CT, with regional work across Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. Pay is $35–$50 per hour. Wachter provides technology services that help commercial and industrial clients operate efficiently. The technician installs, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs fire alarm, intrusion, access control, video, and related low-voltage systems. The work supports safe, code-compliant system operation at customer sites and includes coordination with installation teams and project managers.
What you'll do
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling and equipment for video, access control, intrusion alarms, LAN/WAN, and wireless LAN
- install and program fire alarm systems
- complete wiring and terminations
- test systems and components
- ensure work meets applicable codes and safety requirements
- coordinate schedules and equipment with project leadership
- and provide technical escalation support onsite or remotely.
