The Spring 2027 Communications & Public Engagement Intern role is hybrid in Washington, DC, with compensation of $2,000 per month for full-time interns; part-time compensation is prorated. The Partnership for Public Service is a nonpartisan nonprofit focused on building a better government and a stronger democracy. The intern supports communications work that informs the public about government and makes the organization’s programs and activities clear and actionable. Depending on placement, work may include writing, editing, media relations, public engagement, marketing or storytelling support.

What you'll do

• Assist with writing, editing and brainstorming
• support one of the Communications team’s marketing, press, public engagement or storytelling sub-teams
• depending on placement, help with newsletters, blogs, social media, press lists and materials, public engagement updates, research or storytelling projects
• represent the Partnership to the public as appropriate.
