The Heavy Equipment Operator / Driller Trainee role is onsite in Montpelier, VT, with pay of $20–$22 per hour plus a travel stipend. Maine Drilling & Blasting is a majority employee-owned company focused on operational excellence. The trainee supports drilling and blasting work by operating assigned equipment, learning drill patterns and layout, maintaining equipment and accessories, following safety procedures, and completing field records. Out-of-town travel and overtime may be required.

What you'll do

• Follow job-specific instruction from superintendents, blasting supervisors, or drill operators
• perform daily equipment maintenance
• follow safety policies
• learn and execute drill patterns and layout
• inventory and maintain drill accessories
• communicate problems and terrain conditions
• complete drill reports, hole sheets, and timecards
• coordinate supplies
• complete Driller I training.
