Senior Network Engineer

The Senior Network Engineer role is onsite in Fairfax, VA. Compensation is $110,000–$112,000 per year. The engineer supports Ailani Wind Joint Venture’s secure enterprise network and unified communications services, including classified and unclassified infrastructure. The role designs, operates, and sustains network services while leading complex troubleshooting, change activities, and incident resolution. It validates patches and configuration changes in test environments before deployment and supports secure, resilient communications for government taskings.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, operate, and maintain secure LAN, WAN, VLAN, routing, switching, wireless, and unified communications solutions
• install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot Cisco network equipment and management platforms
• configure and sustain Palo Alto or comparable next-generation firewalls
• monitor availability, capacity, performance, events, and security
• troubleshoot NIPR, SIPR, and AFSCI connectivity
• support identity-based access, software-defined networking, Zero Trust, and segmentation
• maintain VTC infrastructure
• execute applicable USCYBERCOM and AFCYBER taskings
• validate patches and changes in test environments
• maintain network diagrams, baselines, plans, test results, procedures, and change records
• provide technical leadership, mentoring, and root-cause analysis.

Why this role

Active TS/SCI clearance required; Network+ CE or CCNA minimum; bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent specialized experience; five years of government or contractor network or IT systems engineering experience; CCNP, CCIE, or CISSP preferred.
