The Field Technician — Heavy Equipment role is an onsite, field-based position in Miami, FL, serving customer job sites and other locations across the service territory. Coastal Construction Equipment is expanding its CAT compact equipment dealer operations in Southern Florida and supports customers with sales, rentals, parts, and service. The technician diagnoses, repairs, maintains, and tests heavy equipment and related systems to reduce equipment downtime and support customer productivity. Working independently in a mobile service environment, the role also documents service work, communicates repair status, and follows manufacturer specifications and company quality and safety standards.

What you'll do

• Diagnose, repair, maintain, and test heavy equipment and related mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems at customer sites
• perform preventive maintenance and inspections
• document service work
• communicate repair status and recommendations
• maintain the service vehicle and tools
• follow safety and environmental requirements. May mentor junior technicians as needed.
