Greenhouse Supervisor

The Greenhouse Supervisor role is onsite in Walla Walla, WA, with compensation of $24.75–$28.75 per hour. Walla Walla Nursery grows rooted plants and the supervisor supports plant care and development across greenhouse programs. The supervisor helps manage rooting environments and plant health, coordinating nutrients, irrigation, light, sanitation, pest monitoring, and movement through growing stages. The role also documents inventory and plant status, trains backup staff, and supports consistent production and quality across shifts.

What you'll do

• Assist the Assistant Washington Grow Manager with day-to-day care of rooted plants and grow plans
• control rooting environments and balance humidity, temperature, light, ventilation, and soil moisture
• supply nutrients and irrigation as crops establish
• group compatible plant types
• use and maintain environmental automation
• sanitize rooting areas and remove dead or dying cuttings and weeds
• scout for disease and insects and assist with IPM measures
• trim plants and apply PGRs where appropriate
• coordinate plant movement between rooting, weaning, and finishing areas
• document inventory, losses, transfers, and plant status
• train backup and support staff
• work rotating weekends for assigned watering duties.
