What you'll do

• Interact positively with children and model YMCA core values
• support small-group activities, arts and crafts, physical education, and positive discipline
• maintain a safe, healthy, and engaging environment
• follow YMCA policies and procedures
• monitor children’s allergies and fears and take appropriate precautions
• inspect toys, books, and equipment for hazards
• disinfect counters, tables, and toys
• communicate professionally with children, parents, and staff.

Why this role

Programs include before school Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m.–9:00 a.m.; elementary program Monday–Friday, 2:45 p.m.–6:00 p.m.; and middle school program Monday–Friday, 2:15 p.m.–6:00 p.m. Schedules may change based on business needs; applicants must be at least 18 and able to work mornings.
