Manufacturing Technician

Job overview

The Manufacturing Technician role is onsite in West Henrietta, NY, in a Class 1,000 cleanroom environment. Pay is $21–$25 per hour. The technician supports Vuzix Corporation’s Waveguide Manufacturing Department in meeting production goals and quality objectives. The role operates and sets up production equipment, follows production plans and technical specifications, troubleshoots process and equipment issues, and works with Engineering on manufacturing challenges. It also supports personnel training and compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.

What you'll do

• Support production schedules and manufacturing targets
• operate production equipment and systems
• assist with machine and robotic equipment setup, calibration, and operation
• troubleshoot production issues and equipment malfunctions
• support Manufacturing Engineers with process improvements and equipment validation
• maintain a safe, organized, compliant work environment
• complete required quality-system training.
