HVAC Service Technician Trainee

Job overview

The HVAC Service Technician Trainee role is onsite in Twin Falls, ID. Pay is $15–$25 per hour based on experience. The role supports Terry’s Heating and Air Conditioning, which has served families throughout Southern Idaho since 1977. The trainee works alongside experienced technicians to learn inspection, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of residential heating and cooling systems. Through hands-on service work and training, the role helps deliver dependable workmanship and customer service while developing skills for advancement to an experienced technician position.

What you'll do

• Assist senior technicians during maintenance visits and service calls
• perform routine inspections and seasonal tune-ups
• learn diagnostic procedures for heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment
• help service furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-split systems, and indoor air quality products
• gain experience with electrical testing, airflow analysis, refrigeration fundamentals, and equipment evaluations
• maintain service records
• communicate professionally with homeowners
• keep vehicles, tools, and work areas organized
• follow safety procedures and manufacturer recommendations
• participate in technical and customer service training.
