What you'll do

• Admit and prepare patients for surgery, including education and psychosocial support
• coordinate and document preoperative lab work
• provide postoperative care and prepare patients for return home
• assess patients and report pertinent findings
• document care accurately and promptly
• respond appropriately in emergencies
• provide discharge education when assigned
• support cardiac monitoring
• direct nonprofessional personnel as delegated
• manage and replenish supplies.
