Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist role is onsite in Chicago, IL. Compensation is $25–$28 per hour. Corporate Coverage provides overhead support to waste and recycling entities across several states, with a stated goal of delivering cost-efficient recycling services and supporting regulatory compliance and environmental benefit. The generalist supports HR, payroll, benefits, and compliance across the employee lifecycle. Accurate payroll and HRIS records, onboarding, benefits administration, and employment-law compliance help the organization provide consistent support to employees and operating entities.

What you'll do

• Assist across HR, payroll, benefits, and compliance
• process weekly payroll in Paylocity
• support employee lifecycle activities
• coordinate onboarding, offer letters, background checks, orientation, and surveys
• work with talent acquisition and managers on performance management and compliance requests
• maintain HRIS data and generate reports
• administer benefits with brokers and vendors, communications, invoices, system setup, and enrollment
• maintain knowledge of applicable employment and labor laws.
