Licensed Propane Lead Technician

Job overview

The Licensed Propane Lead Technician role is onsite in Lovingston, VA, with pay of $28–$33 per hour. Foster Fuels provides propane installation, service, and related fuel services to customers. The technician installs and maintains propane systems and appliances, conducts safety and system checks, and helps train service technicians. The role supports safe, complete service work through customer communication, equipment readiness, and accurate service-call closeout.

What you'll do

• Train and develop service technicians
• install above-ground and underground propane tanks, appliances, regulators, and lines
• maintain propane systems and appliances, including scheduled maintenance, repairs, leak checks, and pressure checks
• operate mini-excavators, trenchers, and crane trucks
• inspect trucks and ensure tools and inventory are available
• communicate installation issues and work details to the Service Manager and customers
• document and close service calls
• promote safety practices.

Why this role

Requires a current Journeyman or Master Gas Fitter’s License; CDL Class B with endorsements is required or must be obtained within six months. Extended and on-call hours are required.
