The Senior Planner / Planning Leader is an onsite role based in Warren, NJ, with a salary range of $100,000 - $115,000 per year. Verdantas is a leading environmental consulting and sustainable engineering firm focused on resilient infrastructure. This role exists to launch and grow a new planning group within the Northeast region. By embedding planning expertise into integrated solutions for public-sector clients, the leader will mentor staff and drive strategic growth while collaborating with established environmental, water, and civil infrastructure teams.

What you'll do

• Lead and manage complex planning projects for government clients
• serve as a trusted advisor on land use, zoning, and policy
• provide technical oversight and quality control
• support business development and proposal efforts
• mentor and guide planning staff.

What we're looking for

Education

Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Geography, or a related field

Experience

8-15+ years of professional planning experience, with a strong emphasis on public-sector work
