The Academic Geriatric Psychiatrist role is onsite at Tufts Medicine Behavioral Health Hospital in Malden, MA; compensation is not specified. The 144-bed hospital is a partnership between Tufts Medicine and Acadia Healthcare and is designed to serve as a primary teaching hospital for psychiatric education across Tufts Medicine and Tufts University School of Medicine. The psychiatrist will provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for older adults with complex psychiatric illness, dementia, behavioral disturbances, and co-occurring medical conditions. The role also supports clinical program development, interdisciplinary collaboration, teaching, mentorship, and scholarly activity.

What you'll do

• Evaluate and treat older adults admitted to the 48-bed inpatient geriatric psychiatry service
• contribute to clinical development, quality improvement, and program growth
• collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues. Teaching, mentoring, curriculum development, research collaboration, and scholarly activity are academic opportunities.
