The Senior Archivist role is onsite in Detroit, MI, with a stated salary of $65,000–$70,000 per year. This two-year, benefits-eligible position supports the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History’s Curatorial Department and Collections and Archives team. The role manages access, care, organization, preservation, and storage of fine art and art education archival records. It also advances archival procedures and records management, supports digitization and public programs, and helps the museum maintain and share its collections.

What you'll do

• Process, rehouse, stabilize, and digitize archival records
• maintain inventories and records
• arrange and describe collections using archival standards
• implement records-retention procedures
• coordinate storage moves and public programs
• provide scans
• support grant implementation and department documentation
• supervise and train assistants, interns, students, and volunteers as needed.
