What you'll do
- Provide direct care during immediate post-anesthesia recovery
- admit patients and receive anesthesia handoffs
- monitor vital signs, dressings, IVs, drains, and recovery needs
- assess discharge readiness and provide recovery instructions
- reassure patients and communicate professionally with families
- collaborate with surgeons, CRNAs, and surgical staff
- respond to urgent situations, including initiating and maintaining CPR when necessary
- maintain recovery-area equipment and supplies
- participate in quality management and performance improvement
- document assessments, interventions, and physician directions
- attend center meetings and continuing education.
