The Software Engineer — Mid Level role is onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD, with annual pay of $205,000. The engineer develops and improves software and machine-learning analytics, including scalable data pipelines and tools moving from development into production. The work integrates model and tool outputs into computer network defense systems and supports security management and monitoring capabilities within the agency IT enterprise.

What you'll do

• Develop, maintain, and enhance software systems based on documented requirements
• implement and refactor scalable data pipelines
• monitor and improve data science tools for production transition
• design and enhance machine-learning analytics using Python libraries including PyTorch, NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn
• train, test, track, and curate models
• integrate GitOps for continuous integration and deployment using Docker scaling
• use AWS services including EC2, S3, and RDS
• integrate model and tool outputs into computer network defense systems or software tools
• document processes and code and report completed tasks.
