The Automotive Parts Specialist / Fleet Parts Storekeeper role is onsite in Chestnut Hill, MA, at $32.77 per hour for 40 hours per week. The position supports the Town of Brookline Department of Public Works Fleet Maintenance Division in keeping municipal vehicles and heavy equipment operational. The role manages parts, tools, supplies, and related records so mechanics and department staff can obtain what they need for repairs. It also coordinates purchasing and outside repair services and helps maintain accurate inventory and fuel information.

What you'll do

• Ensure materials are available for vehicle and equipment repairs
• track purchase orders and order automotive and fleet parts, fuel, oils, antifreeze, and tires
• maintain computerized inventory records, including hazardous materials and waste
• track fuel usage and system data
• coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and outside service personnel
• keep the service area organized and ensure proper handling and disposal of waste, parts, and oils
• consult technical manuals and work with laborers to identify correct parts
• order and track winter supplies.

Why this role
