Youth Behavioral Respite Provider

The Youth Behavioral Respite Provider is an onsite, part-time role serving youth in their homes and communities across Licking County, based in Newark, OH. Pay is $20–$23 per hour, based on experience. The role provides planned respite for caregivers of children and teens enrolled in OhioRISE, Ohio’s program for youth with behavioral health needs. The provider supervises and engages youth in safe, structured activities, follows individualized care plans, reinforces coping and daily-living skills, and communicates with families and the care team. This support gives caregivers short-term relief while helping youth participate safely in home and community activities.

What you'll do

• Provide one-on-one supervision during scheduled 3–6-hour sessions
• plan and lead age-appropriate recreational, social, and community activities
• follow individualized care plans and use positive, trauma-informed approaches
• reinforce coping, social, communication, and daily-living skills
• use approved de-escalation techniques
• transport youth to approved activities in a personal vehicle
• communicate with caregivers and supervisors
• complete same-day service notes
• maintain confidentiality and attend required training and team check-ins.
