The role offers flexible daytime hours during the school year and reports to the Counseling Supervisor at Miriam Learning Center, which provides special education services to children with diverse learning needs. The clinician assesses children’s psychosocial needs and recommends treatment to improve functioning at school and in the community. The role provides individual, group, or family counseling, coordinates care with families and other professionals, documents assessments and services, and refers children or families to community resources as needed.

What you'll do

• Assess children’s psychosocial needs
• make recommendations and complete assessment reports
• determine treatment pathways
• coordinate with Center staff, schools, and families
• submit notes and billing
• refer children or families to community services as needed
• provide individual, group, or family counseling using a CBT model.
