The Physician, Adult Medicine role is onsite in Hayward, CA, with pay of $112.77–$142.86 per hour. Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center provides accessible, patient-centered care to a diverse, multilingual community through primary care, dental care, WIC support, mental health counseling, and community health education. The physician assesses and treats common acute and chronic conditions, provides preventive care, and coordinates follow-up. The role also supports clinical quality, supervises or guides trainees and staff as appropriate, and contributes to patient and community health education.

What you'll do

• Perform health assessments and examinations
• order or perform diagnostic tests
• diagnose and manage common acute and chronic conditions
• provide preventive screening and health guidance
• initiate life-saving procedures in emergencies
• provide clinical oversight of trainees and direct nonprofessional medical staff as appropriate
• maintain electronic health records and complete documentation
• participate in quality audits
• refer complex cases as needed
• educate patients and the community
• travel to other TVHC sites as needed.

Why this role

Board certified or eligible in the designated specialty and a current California medical license, DEA license, and CPR are required. Schedule ranges from 16–40 hours per week, Monday–Saturday; periodic evenings or weekends may be needed. Travel to other TVHC sites may be required.
