The Electrical Commissioning Technician 2 role is onsite in South Hill, VA, with pay of $41.50 per hour. M.C. Dean designs, builds, operates, and maintains electrical, technology, and security solutions for mission-critical facilities and infrastructure. Working under close supervision, the technician supports testing, maintenance, and installation of electrical equipment while developing foundational skills. The work assists commissioning leads and experienced technicians in inspecting, preparing, and documenting equipment and field activities.

What you'll do

• Assist with testing and maintenance of site and field equipment
• support equipment and wiring installation, rearrangement, and removal
• perform basic testing, moving, and adjustments
• assist with construction inspections for compliance with NETA specifications and plans
• maintain inspection records
• apply basic mathematics, measuring-device knowledge, and safety procedures including LOTO
• prepare equipment for testing
• assist with load banks using proper PPE
• participate in Operational Risk Management meetings.
