Senior Software Engineer – Embedded Systems & Product Development

The Senior Software Engineer – Embedded Systems & Product Development role is onsite in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Compensation is $90,000–$140,000 per year. The engineer will support development of embedded software, applications, and connected solutions for HVAC and refrigeration products. This hands-on technical leadership role guides software from concept through production, including firmware and mobile and desktop applications. It contributes to product development by setting project goals, mentoring engineers, validating software, and supporting manufacturing and released products.

What you'll do

• Lead software development for new products and improvements
• design, develop, test, and support embedded firmware and mobile and desktop software
• guide engineering design decisions from concept through production release
• establish project goals and milestones
• mentor junior engineers
• develop specifications, test plans, and validation processes
• participate in design reviews and stage-gate meetings
• troubleshoot production and released-product software issues
• maintain documentation and change-controlled records
• collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams.
