Referral Coordinator

Job overview

The Referral Coordinator role is onsite in Sacramento, CA, and pays $22–$25 per hour. The role serves as a liaison among patients, providers, utilization management, and other departments on the care team.

What you'll do

• Receive, review, and process referral requests
• coordinate appointments with specialists, hospitals, and other providers
• maintain accurate referral documentation and EHR records
• serve as a contact for patients, providers, and insurers
• verify coverage and obtain authorizations
• prepare referral activity reports
• protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA.
