Certified Material Handler

The Certified Material Handler role is onsite in Rocky Mount, NC. Compensation is $15 to $17 per hour. The position is in the Valued Added Business Services department. The handler supports daily production by sorting and rearranging freight, loading and unloading trucks, inspecting reusable containers, and processing products. Safe equipment operation, clean work areas, and routine maintenance help keep material handling and production activities moving.

What you'll do

• Sort and rearrange freight for pickup
• load and unload trucks
• inspect containers for quality and reuse
• band, pack, and process products
• operate a forklift and other equipment
• sand and wash trays
• lift trays, clean the work area, and complete maintenance tasks.

Why this role

Forklift operator certification and a valid driver’s license are required. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work assigned shifts.
