Dependable Home Caregiver

The Dependable Home Caregiver role is onsite in clients’ homes in Dyer, IN, and nearby communities. Pay is $14–$17 per hour. Assisting Hands Home Care provides non-medical, one-on-one support to help seniors and adults remain comfortable at home. The caregiver follows each client’s individualized care plan to support daily living, safety, companionship, and dignity. Observing and reporting changes and communicating with the office help maintain consistent, responsive care.

What you'll do

• Depending on the client’s care plan, assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
• support safe walking and transfers
• assist with mobility equipment
• perform light housekeeping and laundry
• provide companionship and social engagement
• offer medication reminders but not administer medication
• observe and report changes in condition, appearance, or behavior
• document care and communicate with the office
• follow infection prevention, safety, and agency policies
• maintain client dignity and confidentiality.
