Saw Operator

Job overview

The Saw Operator role is onsite in Detroit, MI. Compensation is $19–$20 per hour, and the schedule is 40–50 hours per week. Finkl Steel manufactures forging and tool steels and custom open-die forgings. The operator cuts materials to specifications, sets up and adjusts saw equipment, and inspects finished pieces for accuracy. The role supports production by preparing materials for shipment or further manufacturing while maintaining quality and efficiency.

What you'll do

• Operate and maintain saw equipment
• interpret work orders, blueprints, and diagrams
• set up and adjust blades, guides, and stops
• monitor cut quality and efficiency
• inspect finished pieces and adjust for accuracy
• and package materials for shipment or further production.
