The Medical Assistant (Float) role is based in office at One Medical’s Darien, New Canaan, and Westport, CT offices, with New Canaan as the listed location. The schedule is full-time, 40 hours per week, with 8-hour shifts generally between 7:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Compensation is $25.75–$27.75 per hour. The role supports patients’ in-office care through venipuncture, laboratory services, patient intake, and front-desk assistance. It helps maintain a smooth patient experience while supporting providers and the broader care team with follow-up, administrative tasks, and office upkeep.

What you'll do

• Provide patient intake, same-day schedule management, follow-up scheduling, billing and insurance support, and patient outreach
• perform venipuncture, specimen collection and processing, EKGs, and other assigned clinical support
• label and handle specimens properly, maintain inventory, and sterilize tools
• respond to patient messages and follow up on lab cases
• assist providers and the virtual medical team with clerical duties
• perform front-of-house check-in and check-out, insurance verification, and paperwork
• participate in team huddles and problem solving
• complete opening and closing duties and maintain office spaces and supplies.
