The Registered Nurse role is onsite in Detroit, MI. Pay is $43.40–$51.97 per hour. The nurse provides care to residents in a long-term care setting and works with the Director of Nursing and Unit Managers on care goals and regulatory compliance. The nurse assesses residents, implements and documents care plans, administers medications and treatments, and coordinates with physicians and care staff. The role contributes to resident well-being and safe, compliant nursing care across the unit.

What you'll do

• Assess resident conditions and implement interventions and care plans
• document observations in PCC
• make rounds and evaluate symptoms, progress, and responses to treatment and medication
• provide preventative, supportive, maintenance, and rehabilitative care
• perform treatments including wound care, IV therapy, and other listed procedures
• ensure supplies and equipment are available
• schedule appointments and consults
• monitor and assist CNAs with resident care
• administer medications and report contraindications
• communicate changes in condition and treatment
• coordinate emergency care
• admit, transfer, and discharge residents
• complete summaries
• participate in quality improvement and regulatory surveys
• monitor incidents, infection rates, and skin conditions
• report complaints, unusual occurrences, and suspected abuse or neglect
• follow resident rights, safety practices, and the Nurse Practice Act.
